The Franklin County Public Works Department is comprised of Accounting and Administrative Services, Road Maintenance and Operation Division, Engineering and Traffic Services Division, Geographical Information Systems Division, Solid Waste Division, and Motor Vehicle and Equipment Division. All divisions are committed to our responsibility to provide safe, economical, and environmentally sound public road facilities and services.

Juniper Dunes Recreation Area Access Road

 

2015-07-29 The Board of Franklin County Commissioners held a public hearing to establish a County road from Pasco-Kahlotus Road to the Juniper Dunes Recreation Area.

 

2015-04-08 - The Board of Franklin County Commissioners held a public hearing on the route preference for a Juniper Dunes access road. The public was afforded opportunity to voice opinions and concerns. At the conclusion of the hearing, the Board concurred with the County Engineer's report that Alternative 2 was the preferred option. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) will make the final determination as to the route location.

The Western Federal Lands Division of the Federal Highway Administration, in partnership with the Bureau of Land Management and Franklin County, is planning to construct a public access to the Juniper Dunes Wilderness and off-highway vehicle areas. The project is currently in the early planning stages.

NOTICE OF GENERAL PUBLIC HEARING

 

ADOPTION OF SIX-YEAR TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM

FOR 2019-2024

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Franklin County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 9:00 am., or as soon thereafter as possible, at the County Commissioners Chambers at the Franklin County Courthouse, 1016 North Fourth Avenue, Pasco, Washington.

 

The purpose of the public hearing is to review the proposed Transportation Improvement Program for Franklin County for the 2019-2024 period. As part of the Federal Highway Administration’s allocation of funding, each state is required to submit a six-year Statewide Transportation Improvement Plan (STIP). The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) compiles its plan from the regional Transportation Improvement Plans submitted by the local jurisdictions.

 

The Franklin County Transportation Improvement Plan for 2019-2024 covers the anticipated projects for the next six years, regardless of funding source. The first four years of the plan are fiscally constrained. Per Section 36.81.121 RCW, the Board of Franklin County Commissioners will hold a public meeting to consider the proposed Transportation Improvement Plan and hear testimony in favor of or in opposition to its adoption.

 

The 2019-2024 plan are available at the Franklin County Public Works Department at 3416 Stearman Avenue, Pasco, Washington, 509-545-3514, and on the County website: www.co.franklin.wa.us/public_works/index.html.  Comments on the amendments to the existing Program can be delivered orally or in writing at the public hearing and through written correspondence to be delivered prior to the date and time of the public hearing.

 

Franklin County ensures full compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 by prohibiting discrimination against any person on the basis of race, color, national origin, or sex in the provision of benefits and services resulting from its federally assisted programs & activities.

 

The meeting site is accessible to persons with disabilities and accommodation for people with disabilities can be arranged with advance notice by calling (509) 545-3514.

 

A Spanish interpreter will be available. The Commissioners’ Chambers are handicap accessible. Arrangements to reasonably accommodate special needs, including handicap accessibility or interpreter, will be made upon receiving 24-hour advance notice. AVISO POR ESTE MEDIO ES DADO que una audiencia pública será sostenida por la Junta de Comisionados de Franklin County el Martes, 26 de Junio de 2018 a las 9:00 AM, o tan pronto como sea posible, en las cámaras de Comisionados del Condado en el Tribunal del Condado de Franklin, 1016 North Fourth Avenue, Pasco, Washington.

 

El propósito de la audiencia pública es revisar el programa de mejoramiento de transporte propuesto para el Condado de Franklin para el periodo 2019-2024. Como parte de la asignación de financiación de la Administración Federal de Carreteras, cada Estado debe presentar un plan Estatal de Mejoramiento Del Transporte De Seis Años (STIP). STRIPING PAINT AND MATERIALS 

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received at the Franklin County Public Works Office at 3416 Stearman Ave, Pasco WA, 99301, until 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 8th, 2018, and then shall be opened and publicly read aloud thereafter.

 

The bids received shall be for Striping Paint and Materials, including:

 

  • Low VOC Yellow Standard Waterborne Traffic Marking Paint (3,250 GALLONS)

 

  • Low VOC White Standard Waterborne Traffic Marking Paint (3,250 GALLONS)

 

  • Glass Beads for Pavement Marking Materials Type A (45,600 POUNDS)
