May 31, 2022 Investigative Report relating to the Embezzlement of Franklin County funds by former public works employee Dennis Huston. This previously sealed report in Superior Court was recently the subject matter of various citizens' comments during our County Board of Commissioner Meetings. The Prosecutor's Office motioned the court to unseal these records so they could be viewed by the public. The Court granted the request and unsealed the 9 page report on May 31, 2022

Franklin County was formed in 1883, and is named after Benjamin Franklin. It is located in beautiful Eastern Washington. It consists of 1,242 square miles, or 795,000 acres. In 2020, the population of Franklin County was 96,749 - a 96% increase since 2000, making us one of the fastest growing counties in the nation.
The largest city in Franklin County is Pasco (2020 population: 77,108), which is also where its historical courthouse and seat of the county government is located.
